Privacy Policy

Riser ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

To deliver the core wake-up experience and improve the app, we collect:

  • Account information — email address, profile name, authentication tokens.
  • Alarm & wake data — alarm schedules, mission completion times, snooze events, streak history.
  • Device information — device model, OS version, time zone, and a generated installation ID.
  • Usage analytics — anonymous interaction events used to improve the app. You can opt out from Settings → Privacy.
  • Crash reports — diagnostic information sent automatically when the app crashes, used to fix bugs.

We do not collect microphone, camera, contacts, or location data unless explicitly required by a mission you choose to use, and only at the moment that mission is active.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Deliver the alarm, mission, and notification features
  • Sync your data across devices when you sign in
  • Send the push notifications you have enabled
  • Process subscriptions and entitlements
  • Track aggregate usage to improve the app
  • Diagnose crashes and bugs

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following processors. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service:

  • Supabase — backend storage and authentication
  • Firebase — push notifications and authentication
  • RevenueCat — subscription state management
  • Apple App Store / Google Play — purchase processing
  • PostHog — anonymous product analytics
  • Sentry — crash reporting
  • Meta Conversions API — advertising attribution (only for ad-attributed installs)

4. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Opt out of analytics tracking
  • Withdraw consent at any time

You can exercise these rights from Settings → Manage Data, or by contacting us at privacy@riserapp.com.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax records of subscription transactions).

6. Children

Riser is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in-app. Your continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
